The Ile-de-France region has just launched a large-scale project aimed at promoting culture for all (and you know that this subject is very close to my heart).
The Musée Passager, a traveling contemporary art festival organized by the Ateliers Frédéric Laffy, is built around a mobile museum pavilion that will travel through the Ile-de-France region for 4 years, visiting 25 cities with a 15-day stop at each location.
Since April 2014, the Musée Passager has hosted around fifteen contemporary artists within its museum space, focusing its programming on the theme of “The Necessary Horizon.”
It also includes a “freespace” where amateurs and professionals can perform: hip-hop concerts (End Of the Week…), performances, street art, DJ sets, etc.
Practical information:
- Evry from April 26 to May 11, at the foot of the cathedral: Le Clos de la Cathédrale, 91000 Évry
- Mantes-la-Jolie from May 17 to June 1, Place Saint-Maclou
- Val d’Europe from June 7 to June 22, Place d’Ariane
The great deal is that, of course, the Musée Passager is completely free and it is open every day from 9 am to 9 pm.
