Like every year in September, the Floating Markets of the South-West invite you to the Quais de Montebello and de la Tournelle, opposite Notre-Dame de Paris, for 3 days entirely dedicated to the South-West.
This year, the Floating Markets will be held on September 14, 15, and 16, 2012.
This gourmet and festive event is organized by the Gers, Lot-et-Garonne, and Tarn-et-Garonne departments, featuring a large market that reflects the identity of these three regions.
On the program: 42 producers with guaranteed South-West origins on the Quai Montebello, so you can discover delicious local products: foie gras, duck breast, fruit, prunes, sun-ripened vegetables, wines…
Three festive days where you can also dance all day to the rhythm of brass bands, and in the evening, enjoy tapas in a New Orleans jazz atmosphere.
The top tip is that 15 tons of fruit from the South-West (Chasselas grapes from Moissac, apples from Lot-et-Garonne, garlic from Lomagne) will be distributed for free on the Quai de la Tournelle, every day from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM (approximate times, subject to daily availability).
