Tassimo, the famous multi-drink system that I already told you about in a previous article on the brand’s 10th anniversary, has been running a recycling program for its T-DISCs in partnership with TerraCycle since 2012.
This specialist in waste traditionally considered non-recyclable (which is usually sent to landfills or incineration centers after use) reuses T-DISCs and the aluminum packaging from Tassimo packs to transform them into everyday objects: urban furniture, garden accessories, bags, office supplies, and more.
The great thing is that recycling creates the opportunity to create and recreate a wide range of objects by giving waste a second life.
Several series of objects are actually manufactured by TerraCycle using Tassimo waste, including benches, which are sold to various local authorities to equip retirement homes, sports clubs, parks, and historic landmarks.
This eco-responsible approach is truly important to Tassimo, which wants to involve as many of its consumers as possible.
Recycling T-DISCs is also a charitable initiative, since every T-DISC sent allows the public collection point to accumulate points (1 point for 2 T-DISCs received) which are then transformed into donations given to the charity chosen by the public collection point.
