Like every year, this coming March 8th, we will be celebrating International Women’s Day all over the world (well, almost).

To celebrate this event in my own way, I’m sharing a small selection of top tips I’ve unearthed for us women, to help us have a truly wonderful day this Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

Mixity Party at Le Vaudeville

This brasserie from the Flo group, which offers traditional French cuisine just a stone’s throw from the Bourse, is hosting a drag show with Mixity for Women’s Day. On the program: an explosive and energizing show, accompanied by a bistro-style dinner in a very Art Deco atmosphere.

Le Vaudeville hosts its musical evenings on various themes, every first Thursday of each month starting at 8 p.m. with a special menu for the occasion at €39 including appetizer + main course + dessert.

5th Edition of the Digital Women’s Day “For A Better World”

#JFD17 will celebrate its fifth edition at the Cité de la Mode et du Design, a place of inspiration, on Thursday, March 9, 2017. Open to the general public, this day honors and connects the women who are revolutionizing the world through digital technology.

The “Culot’thé” Days of the Corset Brand

Every year, the Au Moulin Rose brand organizes a major national event in March with its entire team across France.

For the weekend of March 4 and/or 5, 2017, home-sales consultants for the Au Moulin Rose brand are organizing the same event simultaneously all over France (more than 40 events listed so far).

Each “Culot’thé Days of the Corset Brand” event consists of several pampering and discovery workshops for women, competitions, etc., all in a girly atmosphere, perfect for chatting and sharing secrets, with tea and cookies.

  • A Beauty Bar, with Au Moulin Rose cosmetic products
  • A Naughty Novelties Bar
  • A Photo Bar, to take photos with friends and keep a memento of the event
  • A Treats Bar with tea and cookies
  • A Dream Bar with a raffle ticket to win gifts and participate in the “Draw me a pair of panties” contest

HeForShe Arts Week Paris

HeForShe is a movement working for gender equality with an inclusive approach, involving men; the movement seeks to unite people around gender issues and the respect for human rights.

Arts for Equality UN Women Paris March 8-15, 2017.

This week will be filled with events from all artistic horizons in key Parisian locations, featuring many committed artists.

The 1st edition of the HeForShe Arts Week in Paris will therefore be held from March 8 to 15, 2017

Where are they? Tours to discover women artists

Childish decorative lamp in the style of Niki de Saint Phalle with striped patterns.For International Women’s Day, the AWARE association (Archives of Women Artists, Research and Exhibitions) is partnering with several cultural institutions to help people discover a still-unknown and rarely shown part of 19th, 20th, and 21st-century creation: the works of women artists.

From March 8 to 12, curators, art historians, and lecturers offer free guided tours accessible to everyone to discover these artists at the National Museum of Modern Art – Centre Georges Pompidou, the Musée d’Orsay, the Museum of Decorative Arts, and the Ministry of Culture and Communication.

The Marta Pan and André Wogenscky house-studio in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse is also joining this event.

Madame Vacances stays from €99

On March 8, in honor of all those ladies who work to plan the “perfect” vacation for their family or group of friends, Madame Vacances is giving them a little helping hand in their search by offering vacations at €99 a week on a selection of destinations by the sea, in the countryside, or in the mountains!

From March 8 to 15, Madame Vacances is offering a selection of 600 stays for the period from mid-March to early July, starting at €99 at 13 destinations. As soon as the batch of €99 stays is sold out, Madame Vacances offers another one which this time goes to €129/week, then €149, and so on until the weeks reserved for this operation are sold out. That’s pretty good news, right?
