With the magical holiday season fast approaching, I simply had to put together a little summary of the events, outings, and great deals to enjoy during this end-of-year period for Christmas 2019 in Paris.
Our beloved capital (like many other cities in France), illuminated for the occasion, is filled during this time with that warm Christmas spirit, to which I am personally very attached and which I find always does one good.

La Fabrique du Père Noël (Santa’s Factory)
This year, the Fine Equipe, a label for young fashion and design creators, returns for its 5th edition to celebrate Christmas 2019 in Paris. For this end of year, the giant 500m2 pop-up store offers over 130 designer brands, with nine new waves of 35 brands arriving each Thursday.
On the program: Networking after-works every Thursday, meet-and-greets with the creators, original entertainment, and food & drinks from our partners.

Paris Notre-Dame Christmas Market
The Paris Notre-Dame Christmas Market has been running for over 10 years, allowing artisans to sell their creations directly in a festive and friendly atmosphere. From ceramics to organic soaps, as well as cutlery, stained glass, and leather, everyone is eager to share their passion and help the general public discover the fruits of their hard work.
The Notre-Dame Christmas Market will take place from December 13 to 29, from 10 am to 8 pm. Late-night openings until 9 pm will take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.

A Christmas at Bercy Village
Like every year, Bercy Village celebrates Christmas and participates in the traditional end-of-year festive illuminations in Paris, from a magical perspective, inviting us to reconnect with our inner child with “A forest and its secrets” imagined by Laurent Sanguinetti.
Several free events on the program:
- The Christmas concert by Groupe Orphée on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 between 2 pm and 6 pm (5 sets of 20 min).
- Santa’s sleigh lands in Bercy Village, and we can go meet him and get a photo taken (Saturday, December 14 and 21, and Sunday, December 15 and 22, from 2 pm to 6 pm).
- The “Les Lutins Farceurs” (Prankster Elves) scavenger hunt where children equipped with a game booklet will have to find Santa’s accessories hidden in the corners of Bercy Village. After finding all 10 hiding spots, they will receive an advent calendar as a thank you for coming to Santa’s aid!

Christmas Apocalypse at the Manoir de Paris
At the Manoir de Paris, Christmas tales are not just simple, sweet stories… This year, a horde of zombies turned elves, seeking revenge, plan to attack humanity for Christmas. Come find refuge at the Manoir de Paris! Things are already looking dire for Christmas 2019…
As usual (though I might be repeating myself…), I cannot recommend enough that you rush to the Manoir if you have never tested this Parisian attraction before, as it is well worth the detour!

Alsatian Christmas Market at Gare de l’Est
Like every year, the forecourt of Gare de l’Est will host, from December 4 to December 20, a very gourmet Alsatian Christmas market (the oldest Alsatian market outside the region), presenting a selection of typical culinary treasures from this area: bredele, jams and confectionery, goose and duck foie gras, gingerbread, charcuterie, sauerkraut, cheeses, wines, and brandies… Without forgetting an area dedicated to Christmas decorations!
In addition, the market will offer free tastings of Alsatian products every day (kougelhopf, foie gras, gingerbread, wines, jams, Munster, beers…).
The tip: a gourmet basket filled with Alsatian products will also be up for grabs every day. To try and win it, nothing could be easier; you just have to guess the weight of the gourmet basket!

Christmas Workshops at the Chocolate Museum
The Gourmet Chocolate Museum regularly organizes many workshops where kids (minimum age 6) and adults can handle and craft their own chocolate in the company of its chocolatiers. Participants then leave with the chocolates they prepared.
For this end of year, the Museum welcomes families, parents, and children to discover its Christmas 2019 workshop in Paris: creating a chocolate Santa Claus accompanied by his rice crispy-based Christmas tree with different chocolates (dark, white, milk)!

Tech Christmas
Tech ChristmasOn December 7 and 8, the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie presents the third edition of the Tech Christmas, the meeting place for “Tech Lovers” who are fans of science and innovation.
Once again this year, the Tech Christmas is a public event, with free and open access. This 2.0 Christmas market presents a selection of objects and initiatives from this dynamic ecosystem, all recognized for their originality and for promoting French innovation.
The tip: the brand Biom Paris will offer a contest to children aged 3 to 17; they will be invited to draw the toilets of their dreams, with the chance to win a €50 gift card for FNAC.

Paris La Défense Christmas Village
This year, the largest Christmas market in the Ile-de-France region, held on the forecourt of Paris La Défense from November 21 to December 28, 2019, is celebrating its 25th anniversary!
For the 2019 edition, Codecom has imagined a colorful and magical 13,000m2 village with over 350 exhibitors in a spectacular setting featuring the Nutcracker, giant rabbits, red and white chalets with gourmet trimmings, XXL treats, and a glittery sky.
On the program: magicians, jugglers, fire-breathers, and fortune tellers!

Dive into a giant ball pit at L’Éléphant Paname
L’Éléphant Paname, the capital’s center for art and dance, is setting up a new giant ball pit in Paris for the duration of the Christmas holidays.
Beach atmosphere guaranteed: from December 21, 2019, to January 5, 2020, children and adults are invited to come take a dip under the starry Dome of Éléphant Paname. Churros, beignets, candy… Inflatable rings and lounge chairs, it will be time to relax while staying warm, shielded from the freezing cold.
A few numbers: 11 meters long by 5 meters wide. 300,000 balls. Plenty to swim in pure happiness!
