4 days in Prague

The capital of the Czech Republic is renowned for being one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. I thought this title was a bit presumptuous and undeserved, but it’s quite the contrary!

For lovers of architecture and ancient buildings, it is a real gold mine.

The Old Town and its square are truly a must-see, as is the Malá Strana district (a very beautiful, homogeneous ensemble of Baroque architecture) and its imposing castle complex, not to mention the Jewish Quarter, which is also overflowing with old buildings.

And the funniest part about all this is that even the “New Town” in Prague’s city center dates back to the 14th century, so it’s true that I find it quite amusing to remember the old district of Quebec, which dates back to at least the 17th century!

Where I’ll be a little less enthusiastic is on the food side; well, I have to say that it’s not exactly extremely light, but there are some good surprises, like bramboràk (a kind of fried potato pancake that accompanies dishes) and their irreplaceable apple strudel with ice cream, so good!
