I tested the Comédie Française for 5 euros
Now that’s a real good deal. I’ve wanted to see if this one was worth it for a long time, especially since I live 5 minutes away from the famous institution, so no excuses! But time flies, and I kept putting it off until tomorrow. But this time, no backing out. I’m testing it!!
Well, my first attempt was a failure. I arrived an hour before the show, that is at 7:30 PM. There were already a lot of people. To be able to get a 5-euro ticket, you have to get in the queue that leads to a small office outside on the left side of the building. But if you come at the same time as I did, you have little chance of attending the evening performance, given the crowd. You should know that there are only 65 tickets at 5 euros. Around 7:45 PM, people announced that there were no tickets left. So I turned back. But as I am persistent, I will go back around 6:00 PM and tell you the trend for coming early. Well, this time, no way I’m “missing” the appointment. It’s Saturday, February 28th, and I’m all set for Monday night.
Every 1st Monday of the month, these tickets are free for those under 28!!!
