As I just spent some time on the American continent, I felt I had to write a special Halloween article for you.

Over there, the holiday is prepared well in advance, and pumpkins have been lining porches since September, marking the spots where children can go to collect their candy.

As usual, I’m offering you my traditional selection of tips to enjoy for this terrifying holiday.

To spend Halloween evening in an original way, I suggest you take advantage of the Before New Caledonia at the Quai Branly Museum.

This free evening, intended more for 18-30 year olds, will take place on Thursday, October 31st from 7 PM to 11 PM and will blend a festive atmosphere with artist performances centered around Kanak art.

On Thursday, October 31st, TCM Cinéma invites you to spend Halloween night in the company of one of the greatest icons of horror film, Boris Karloff.

On the program, the 3 films he shot for RKO under the direction of the famous producer and horror cinema specialist, Val Lewton.

Arty & scary digital workshops at Bercy Village

Bercy Village offers free digital tablet workshops for children during the All Saints’ holidays, from Monday, October 21st to Friday, October 25th. These 30-minute workshops are organized in partnership with Cube, a digital creation center in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

Halloween, it should not be forgotten, is also a matter of candy. Still in line with the box trend I was telling you about recently, today I present Les Bonbecs, a box offering surprise assortments of candy, and of course, they are currently offering a special Halloween box!

You know that I often talk to you about the Manoir de Paris on the blog because it’s a place I enjoy visiting (well, if you can call it that). It obviously organizes a special event for the occasion.

From October 18th to November 11th, two new interactive routes open their doors to celebrate Halloween. A new attraction, Asylum, will offer a nightmarish consultation with the medical team at the Manoir de Paris.

Special Halloween contests at the Manoir de Paris

  • from October 18th to 20th bring your carved pumpkin and try to win Manoir de Paris gifts
  • from October 18th to November 10th come in costume and the most beautiful, ugliest, and most monstrous ones will be posted on the official Facebook page of the Manoir de Paris

  • Friday 18th, Saturday 19th, Sunday 20th October: 6 PM/10 PM
  • Friday 25th, Saturday 26th, Sunday 27th October: 6 PM/10 PM
  • Monday 28th, Tuesday 29th October: 6 PM/10 PM
  • Wednesday 30th October: afternoon 12 PM/3 PM and evening 6 PM/10 PM
