It is certainly one of my favorite Parisian events of the year, one that I wouldn’t miss for anything (well, almost…) and that I write about every year on the blog.
Season 8 of the Séries Mania festival will take place from April 13th to April 23rd, 2017, at the Forum des images, as it does every year.
This event, dedicated to the latest in international television series and their creators, offers an abundant program to discover on the big screen. Furthermore, in addition to the rooms at the Forum des images, Séries Mania is also taking over screens at the UGC Ciné Cité Les Halles, the UGC Normandie, and the UGC Ciné Cité Rosny to ensure that the majority of the 60 series (including 31 world and international premieres) can be rescheduled accordingly.
On the program: screenings of first episodes, marathon sessions or full seasons, a selection of international web-series, exclusive meetings with renowned creators, a space for exchanges and debates with authors, artists, and producers from all over the world, awards ceremonies (including one for bloggers!), a European TV series co-production forum, round tables, conferences, and much more.
This year, the Festival will welcome showrunner Damon Lindelof, co-creator of the series Lost and The Leftovers, as president of the official competition jury.

- It is precisely in the presence of Damon Lindelof and as a world premiere that the first episodes of season 3 of The Leftovers will be screened during the Séries Mania opening night, Thursday, April 13th.
- An exceptional meeting with Julianna Margulies and a carte blanche session will be an opportunity to look back on the career of the actress who played the character of Carol Hathaway (ER) and, more recently, that of Alicia Florrick, the heroine of The Good Wife.
And as always, the festival is free and open to all those who have managed to get tickets for the various sessions (which is much appreciated!).
Free admission to the festival upon presentation of a free ticket to be picked up at the reception desk starting Thursday, April 6th at 12:30 PM (2 tickets per session per person) for all festival sessions or to be booked online starting April 6th as well (reservation must be presented at the reception desk at least 5 minutes before the start of the session)
