From today until June 4, 2012, the 12th edition of the Designer’s Days will be held in Paris and Pantin.
For five days, chairs and lamps will come to life in Parisian design shop windows, schools, museums, and both heritage and contemporary venues.
The twelfth Designer’s Days (DD) circuit will feature 95 locations to visit under the theme: “Identity(ies)”.
This event is a springboard for the discipline, but also a commercial and festive initiative, enriched by more cultural exhibitions (museums from the Centre Pompidou to the Arts Décoratifs, from the Petit Palais to the Manufacture de Sèvres, are on the itinerary, for example).
A novelty this year: the event is venturing (a little) out of Paris to reach Pantin.
The DD are also taking over the Docks-en-Seine, with the Cité de la Mode et du Design (a place tipped to be unmissable this summer), which will help to fill and further open up this beautiful contemporary viewpoint over the river.
On the DD program: round tables; exhibitions; the opening of architect Jean Nouvel’s studio to the public; information hubs set up by the company Made in Design; an awards ceremony and the results of the Talents Audi competition; in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, at B & B Italia, you can even become the hero of an interactive comic strip by Christophe Weber; …
