The Garden Festival, a Parisian event that I am particularly fond of, is taking place this weekend on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, 2012 in about a hundred gardens in the Paris region.
This 15th edition will be focused on urban agriculture, highlighting vegetable patches and community gardens.
On the agenda: fun activities, games, demonstrations, walks, and concerts in green spaces, with plenty of other entertainment in store.
Note that the Garden Festival village will be set up in Parc de Bercy. It will be the perfect place for discussion, allowing you to meet many key players in the fields of the environment, biodiversity, and ecological management of green spaces. The village program also includes award ceremonies, demonstrations, children’s games, and workshops.
Take advantage of this weekend to also discover many lesser-known green spaces that are sometimes closed to the public and will be opening their doors exceptionally for the Garden Festival.
For more info, find the program for the event on the website http://www.paris.fr, broken down by district.
