As part of the launch of its latest smartphone, the XperiaTM Z, Sony Mobile invites Parisians to the Bassin de La Villette tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19 starting at 8:00 PM for a unique experience.
For the first time in an urban setting, thanks to the support of the Paris City Hall, Sony Mobile is staging a giant 55m x 20m water screen on which an original 3D film will be projected, co-directed by the famous DJ, composer, and producer Pedro Winter and the artistic creative agency Superbien (a co-production by ubi bene and MK2 agency).
This XperiaTM Water Show promises to be a surprising artistic and technological experience, embodied by the 3D projection on a water screen in the Bassin de la Villette in Paris, facing 31 quai de Seine (Metro Jaurès or Stalingrad).
Installed in the middle of the canal and made possible by the setup of a system of 3 super-powerful 75,000-watt pumps projecting water more than 20 meters high, this rear-projection device (4 video projectors of 20,000 lumens each) positioned 45m from the screen, guarantees a surprising level of image definition, apparently better than an HD screen.
This 6-minute show will be broadcast 4 times during the evening and is completely open and free to attend.
Produced in partnership with MK2 Agency, the XperiaTM Water Show will close out the Printemps du Cinéma.
