VizEat, the social network for dining

Generally speaking, when I travel, and also as part of my life philosophy, I love sharing, discovery, and being open to others.

I therefore tend, as much as possible, toward formulas or ways of consuming and traveling that are in line with how I see things.

It is for this reason that I really like the concept of VizEat, a booking site for meals with locals. In recent years, this type of practice has developed a lot, but you still need to find reassuring environments to experience them with peace of mind (here, for example, they offer insurance).

The site is intended above all to be an online community that addresses hosts who want to share their table with travelers, who are themselves eager to visit a country or a region in an original and personalized way. And what better way than to get together around the pleasure of a meal!

VizEat is therefore present all over the world to allow hosts and their guests to discover a new culture and unknown flavors (or not, for that matter).

To be a host, no matter what meal is offered (lunch, brunch, aperitif, dinner, market tour, cooking class, etc.), the important thing is to have a table and, above all, the desire to share this moment with people outside of your usual circle of acquaintances (and that is the most interesting part!).

Concretely, registration and creating a meal are simple and free. Then the host determines a price for their meal, and the site takes a small percentage of that price to sustain itself…

Once the reservations are validated, it is possible to chat directly with the guests via private message.

The site brings together people with varied profiles (age, profession, place of residence, etc.) who share a passion for meeting new people and gastronomy.

In any case, I will think about this new way of traveling for my next trip in France or abroad (VizEat is present in 50 countries) to get off the beaten path and discover a city or a region from the inside, with more authenticity.
