It is certainly one of my favorite Parisian events of the year, the one I wouldn’t miss for anything (well, almost…) and about which I talk every year on the blog.
Season 6 of the Séries Mania festival will take place from April 17 to April 26, 2015 at the Forum des images, as it does every year.
And as always, the festival is free and open to all those who have managed to get tickets for the various screenings (which is very much appreciated!).
This event, dedicated to the latest in international television series and their creators, offers a rich program to be discovered on the big screen.
From the United States to Argentina, from France to Australia, as well as Italy, Israel, Great Britain, Quebec, and even Sweden, many series, either new or in preview, will be presented again this year.
On the agenda: screenings of first episodes, marathon sessions or full seasons, a selection of international web-series, exceptional meetings with renowned creators, a space for exchanges and debates with authors, artists, and producers from all over the world, a European co-production forum for TV series, round tables, conferences,…
Alongside the Audience Awards and the international press, there is the bloggers’ award, in the “series of the world” section, and the internet users’ award, in the new international web-series section.
Melle Bon Plan’s selection:
- the The Walking Dead marathon night
- the opening with the 1st episode of Wayward Pines, a series produced by Night Shyamalan who directed the pilot and starring Matt Dillon in the lead role
- the meeting with Matthew Weiner, creator of Mad Men
- the first 2 episodes of Bloodline
- in the vein of superhero series, the first episodes of Daredevil (since I’ve become hooked on The Arrow, I might like this one too)
- the start of the hit series Empire in the music industry
- the first episodes of a Swedish series at the crossroads of dark thriller and fantasy, Jordskott
- the first season marathon of the Norwegian dystopian series Occupied
- the start of the new season of Game of Thrones (which I am still waiting to see at Séries Mania, for me, it’s like a little ritual!)
Free admission to the festival upon presentation of a free ticket to be picked up at the reception from Friday, April 10 at 12:30 PM (2 tickets per session per person) for all festival sessions or to be reserved online starting April 10 as well (reservation to be presented at the reception at least 15 minutes before the session starts)
