Beaubourg goes on Tokyo time!

Pop culture is trendy right now, and after an exhibition on the world of video games at the Grand Palais, it’s manga that’s taking over another major Parisian cultural venue, the Centre Pompidou.

Indeed, until May 27, 2012, the Centre Pompidou is hosting the Planète Manga event!

Studio 13/16 (a space dedicated to teenagers), the Cinemas, and the Bpi of the Center are setting their clocks to manga time through an exhibition, workshops, meet-and-greets, introductions to comics and Japanese animation, and screenings of over 100 films.

In addition to this, a reading lounge (open from 12 PM to 10 PM) featuring 2,500 mangas, set up at the Public Information Library, will allow you to discover the full diversity of Asian comics for free!

During the school holidays, every day from 2 PM to 6 PM, teens can also create their own manga page for free, become a comic reporter, and more.

If this event interests you, you will find the detailed daily program on the website Animeland, a partner of Planète Manga.
