Launched in France in 1982, the Fête de la musique, which has become a global event, is orchestrated every June 21st for the summer solstice in over 110 countries, including about twenty in Europe.
This year, the big day falls on this Wednesday, June 21st, exactly! It’s the perfect opportunity to spend a lovely evening and enjoy music until the end of the night.

On June 21st, the terrace of Empreintes, the arts and crafts concept store, transforms into a tea-time party to the sound of violins for an afternoon.

Eclectic concerts organized on June 21st during the Fête de la Musique, from 6 PM to 10 PM, will offer a most magnificent show at the Jardin d’Acclimatation. A piano recital will be given by pianists, including Turkish pianist Güray Başol.

The Sunset Buvette by Sassy and Ely
The brands Sassy and Ely are hosting a hybrid evening, between a food market and a festival, on the rooftops of the Capital.
On the program: a tasty line-up, both at the turntables and in the kitchen, with cider, good food, and of course, music.

For the Fête de la Musique, the Mona Bismarck American Center is hosting Melissa Laveaux for a concert with Creole-Calypso and trip-hop influences, all the way to Brazilian samba-rock. Melissa offers personal compositions with a powerful style, a soul-filled voice, and arrangements that let her creativity shine through electro sounds.

The Fondation Jerome Seydoux-Pathe celebrates the Fête de la Musique
To kick off the Fête de la Musique, the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé is offering a rhythmic program that will run until July 8th.
Music First! will present films on the theme of music and dance from the silent film era. All will be accompanied on the piano by students from Jean François Zygel‘s class. A true concert that will allow you to discover gems of the seventh art with music!

Hauts-de-Seine Department
For the Fête de la Musique, the Hauts-de-Seine Department is offering an open-air musical evening in the park of the Domaine départemental de Sceaux.
Music and picnics will punctuate this summer evening, hosted by the conservatories of the Vallée Sud – Grand Paris territory, themed around Ovid’s poem, Metamorphoses.

From 7 PM to 10 PM, everyone is invited to picnic as dusk falls in the park. During this time, the conservatories will take over the park’s groves for a series of classical and contemporary music concerts.
Starting at 9:30 PM, the musicians will leave their groves and gather in front of the Château for a grand festive moment. This Little Night of June 21st will celebrate music in all its forms to the sound of 6 musical groves set up in partnership with the conservatories of the south of the department, and over 30 musical sets of 30 minutes.

Trusk offers transport for musicians, DJs, and artists
For the Fête de la Musique, the startup Trusk (the Uber of trucks) is taking on a challenge: transporting the equipment of all Parisian musicians for free, anywhere within Paris city limits (a service usually offered at €29).

To do this, simply call them at 01 76 34 00 78 and one of their truskers (driver-movers) will arrive at the address of your choice.
