Apparently, the term French pop is somewhat of an oxymoron in the music scene. However, I was assured recently that it does exist and that I could even see it for myself at the upcoming concert of the band Marshmallow at Point Éphémère.
This band of four boys from Clermont-Ferrand, inspired by The Beatles and The Kinks, apparently knows how to skillfully blend the softness of English pop with the power of the French language. Definitely worth discovering…
