This year, the Summer Garden takes up residence at the Quai Branly Museum for the 10th edition of “Rendez-vous aux jardins,” offering numerous free activities such as readings, storytelling, workshops, culinary discoveries, concerts, meet-and-greets, and much more.

The Summer Garden will be held from June 2nd to September 2nd, 2012, and will feature, among other things, a musical reading by Arthur H, two concerts by Venezuelan percussionist Orlando Poelo, a custom sound trail created by visual and acoustic artist Erik Samakh, and for the second year, Les Siestes Électroniques, a selection of DJ sets curated from the museum’s musical archives representing five continents.

  • The museum is organizing free guided tours called “Artist’s Garden” on June 2nd and 3rd at 4:00 PM.
  • Sensory discoveries on June 23rd and 24th with the Souffleurs, a poetic commando team that will surprise visitors (during museum opening hours).
  • On Friday, July 7th, there will be an exceptional before-hours event centered around the “Les Séductions du Palais” (Palace Seductions) exhibition, as a prelude to a weekend of festivities and culinary tastings on July 7th and 8th. This final “before” of the season offers a chance to explore the exhibition during a late-night opening (until 11:00 PM) with guest lecturers, followed by a long, summery gastronomic and musical evening.
