During this rainy start to the school year, what could be better than hosting an event to highlight the culture of our British friends? Because, honestly, it really feels like we’re in Great Britain at the moment. So, since we’re suffering the downsides, why not treat ourselves to the luxury of enjoying the upsides as well…
This is how Great Britain Week will take place from September 18th to 22nd, 2013 in Paris, specifically at the 16th arrondissement town hall and throughout the district.
From Thursday, September 19th to Sunday, September 22nd, 2013, the town hall will be decked out in British decor and illuminated in the country’s colors.
Mademoiselle Bon Plan’s little selection:
- The British Market open for free from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You can enjoy delicious and traditional Fish & Chips thanks to the Daily Wagon food truck (which I already told you about here), accompanied, for those who appreciate it, by the crispness of an English beer
- A traditional English tearoom will also be set up in the town hall’s Rotunda, offering tea tastings accompanied by homemade scones in a cozy setting
- An English bookstore
- Two exhibitions at the town hall, free and open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- A British film festival at the Majestic Passy cinema with 2 special screenings (1 free ticket with the event program flyer)
