The holidays are approaching, but you can already feel the Christmas atmosphere spreading throughout the city. We are getting busy with preparations for these wonderful moments of sharing and togetherness, featuring: dinners, joy, gifts, and other lovely surprises!
Renowned in the world of fine dining and cooking, and aware of the current trend surrounding this theme, BHV Marais is launching “The Chef’s Christmas” this year.
The department store will immerse us in a festive universe and transform into a truly vibrant space for both young and old: exclusive dinners in a rooftop bubble, filmed cooking competitions, culinary-themed activities, and window displays featuring dinner settings in unusual locations.
For this Chef’s Christmas, BHV Marais is teaming up with the Guide du Fooding and three great names of the new generation, choosing Iñaki Aizpitarte, Bertrand Grébaut, and Delphine Zampetti as ambassadors.
This event will be the occasion for an exceptional opening of the Rue de Rivoli terrace in mid-November and the installation of a pop-up restaurant for ten days, to host star-studded dinners organized inside a transparent bubble with a 180-degree view of Paris.
A few lucky people will be able to enjoy this unique setting to taste a menu prepared by Fabien Vie, the gastronomic chef and creator of “Saveurs de Montpellier,” featuring a true reinterpretation of Christmas “institutions” based on organic products on the upcoming 22nd and 23rd of November.
On the menu, products such as turbot with black truffles, beautiful chestnuts from the Cévennes, goose foie gras from the Gers, grand crus, and of course, some lovely bubbly and other festive delights.
To have a chance to be invited to these dinners on this magnificent terrace, you will need to participate in the Chef’s Christmas Grand Contest which started yesterday, November 13th, on the site bhv.fr and try to win two spots for one of these meals.
The concept is to test your culinary knowledge for a chance to win a dinner for two on the Chef’s Terrace or in the restaurants of the three young star chefs: Iñaki Aizpitarte at Chateaubriand, Bertrand Grébaut at Septime, and Delphine Zampetti at Chez Aline.
Nespresso will also be a partner of these dinners on the Chef’s Terrace and will, in turn, offer a dinner among the stars during an exceptional evening. The goal will be to help people discover the different professions within gastronomy and to offer a coffee-themed menu with the Society of “Meilleurs Ouvriers de France.”
A tasting of Nespresso Grands Crus will also be offered during the various dinners organized on the Chef’s Terrace.
During two afternoons on the 3rd floor of the department store, Nespresso will also offer recipe creation workshops, hosted by a renowned pastry chef, where participants can become real baristas!
Children will also be able to enjoy the holiday spirit thanks to various activities set up on the 5th floor of BHV MARAIS: a photo studio with Santa Claus will be available every Wednesday and Saturday from November 30th to December 21st inclusive, from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Wednesdays, December 4th, 11th, and 18th will be special activity days for children, featuring, among other things, a balloon-sculpting clown.
The Good Deal: the store will be exceptionally open on Sundays, December 8th, 15th, and 22nd!
