School holiday fun with Vietnamese puppets at the Quai Branly museum

For the winter holidays, the Quai Branly museum is offering a variety of activities for young visitors and their families in connection with the show The Puppet Master, presented at the museum’s Claude Lévi-Strauss theater.

On the program from February 18 to March 05, 2012: workshops, a Vietnamese puppet show, and storytelling tours.

Puppet triptych: theater, light stage, and Vietnamese Wayang Kulit.

A small selection of top tips:

  • Workshop: Illuminating the world, with the artist collective Le Bureau from Wednesday, February 22 to Monday, February 27 from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM. This workshop invites children aged 6 and up to become the creator of a scene for a miniature glowing cinema projected onto the wall. Open-access and free workshop, subject to availability.
  • Storytelling tour: Effigies and Puppets, from Saturday, February 18 to Monday, March 5 at 4:30 PM. Children are invited to discover the incredible diversity of small object theaters on the collection plateau. Free for children aged 6 and up – duration: 1 hour.
