The spring break is almost here for the Paris region. Today, I’m sharing a great tip to keep your little ones intelligently occupied during this time.
On the agenda for these holidays are activities to share with the family at the Quai Branly Museum, centered around the exhibition Philippines: Archipelago of Exchange from April 27 to May 5, 2013.
On the program for this special week:
- storytelling tours of the exhibition, every day at 2 PM for ages 6 and up
- meetings with contemporary Filipino artists
- Tagalog initiation workshops (one of the 170 languages of the Philippines and an official language) – Thursday 05/02, Friday 05/03/13 at 2 PM in the workshop room for ages 12 and up
- film screenings
- music workshops from the 7,107 islands of the Philippines, steeped in European, American, and Indonesian influences… every day at 2:30 PM for children aged 9 to 12
- workshops to discover adornment objects or objects of power, prestige, and exchange featured in the exhibition
- culinary tasting workshops with Paris-based Filipino chefs Victor Magsaysay and Aaron Isip – Saturday 05/04, Sunday 05/05/13 at 3 PM in the foyer of the Claude Lévi-Strauss theater, open to all
- initiation sessions for music, martial arts, traditional dances of the Philippines, etc.
- discovery workshops focusing on Philippine arts, featuring the work of French-Filipino visual artist Gaston Damag from Monday 04/29 to Sunday 05/05/13 at 2 PM
- A day dedicated to the Filipino community on Sunday 04/28, featuring an exclusive musical performance by artist Uwang Ahadas accompanied by the Maguindanao ensemble
