Today we’re going to talk about a very cool Parisian event for the January 1st, 2014 release of the upcoming Ben Stiller film, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
Indeed, Twentieth Century Fox and Mk2 are inviting all volunteers to dare to take the plunge and make the Great Leap to live out their dreams, in the literal sense of the term.
Discover the “Walter Mitty Jump” at the end of this year on the forecourt of the MK2 Bibliothèque: the ideal training to finally dare to live your dreams in 2014.
The concept of the “Walter Mitty Jump“: propelling yourself to a height of 18 meters using an elastic tension system (but in complete safety) to experience strong and unforgettable emotions.
Everyone will, however, be able to gauge their courage by choosing their desired jump height! Please note, however: access to the “Walter Mitty Jump” is reserved for people over 15 years old and weighing between 45 and 100 kg.
A photo studio will also be set up on site to immortalize this experience! You will have the opportunity to customize the movie poster with your own moment of glory, or terror, as you choose.
You will leave with your paper photo, and every evening, you will be able to find a selection on the official Tumblr of the film and on the Facebook page.
To reward the brave who have dared to take the challenge, a contest will be organized for a chance to win a trip for two to Iceland.
The Tip: the “Walter Mitty Jump” experience will be offered for free (subject to availability, obviously) on Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd, and from Thursday, December 26th to Sunday, December 29th, 2013 between 11 AM and 5 PM.
During the entire event, a food truck will be on site to give you a good dose of courage!
So, who is going to try the experience?…
Advanced screenings of the film will also be organized on Monday, December 23rd at 8 PM at MK2 Bibliothèque, Mk2 Quai de Loire, Mk2 Gambetta, and Mk2 Odéon.
