This post is a bit of a last-minute one, but as they say, better late than never!
Anyway, all this fanfare is to announce a very nice and free event taking place right now in the heart of Auber station (RER A) in Paris, in official partnership with the French women’s Handball team.
The latter is currently in the middle of preparations for the World Championships in Serbia, which will take place this coming December.
This event, which perfectly illustrates the RATP‘s desire to bring life to its network, will allow the 250,000 passengers passing through the station every day to discover handball, by offering 250 m² of fun and participatory activities around the sport.
Yes, yes, I am indeed talking about that sport you were forced, perhaps like me, to play during your school years and at which you were absolutely terrible (again, speaking for myself).
The installation of this RATP Handball Park (which might be the perfect opportunity to reconcile with the sport…) is obviously not in its first year, and the 2013 novelty will be a mini-handball court, featuring organized matches for children on Wednesday afternoons and for the general public on Thursday afternoons.
250 m² dedicated to women’s handball with the following program:
- “Precision Shooting” workshop to test your accuracy
- “Speed Shooting” workshop to calculate your shot speed
- “Timed obstacle course” workshop to measure your agility
- “Photo” workshop to leave with a personalized photo of the women’s French team
