From June 29 to July 10, 2012, Paris will be buzzing with the Paris Cinéma Festival, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
This festival, packed with events, is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the long-standing love affair between Paris and Cinema.
At €5 per screening, you really shouldn’t miss out. Plus, loyalty and unlimited cinema cards (UGC illimité, Gaumont, MK2, etc.), which are usually accepted at cinemas, are valid for festival screenings, which is pretty good news!
On the program:
- cinema nights
- screenings of competition films
- previews
- retrospectives and tributes, notably featuring a visit from director Johnnie To
- photo exhibitions
- encounters and round tables including 2 exceptional master classes, one by Johnnie To and another by Olivier Assayas
- a tribute to Hong Kong cinema
- a giant cinema-karaoke night + dance party on Saturday, July 7 at Centquatre (free admission) from 9:30 PM to 3 AM
- A big cinema flea market on Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8 from 9 AM to 8 PM on the MK2 Bibliothèque forecourt
- the closing party at Wanderlust – Cité de la Mode et du Design, definitely the place to be for the Parisian summer, on Tuesday, July 10 starting at 9 PM
In short, a program to satisfy everyone!
