A magical and gourmet Christmas at the Galeries Lafayette

We have officially entered December, which means the holiday season is finally here.

This time of year is always full of great deals, and I have already planned quite a few articles on the subject for you. Today, I am continuing with the festivities and events to discover at Galeries Lafayette.

As every year, we will be delighted to find the 20m tall Christmas tree standing under the dome of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, which transforms every hour into a true ephemeral theater, brought to life in partnership with Swatch.

  • The Coupole store will also host an amazing movie theater on the 4th floor, immersing spectators in the world of Beauty and the Beast, where an exclusive 5-minute edit will showcase the first images from the film… Enough to pique our curiosity until February 12, 2014, the national release date of the movie.

  • A Jean-Paul Hévin hot chocolate bar will be set up on the Terrace of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann (8th floor, Coupole building).

You will be able to discover a “Best of” of his creations, showcasing chocolate in all its majesty: hot, cold, paired with foie gras… in short, in every possible form.

  • There will also be a Panettone Bar to celebrate Christmas in the Italian tradition at the Archi Café (ground floor of Lafayette Maison – Boulevard Haussmann).

This traditional Italian cake is made of a generous brioche filled with raisins, candied fruits, and citrus zests.

  • Finally, Galeries Lafayette is organizing “Once Upon a Time, Chocolate” evenings in several stores across France (unfortunately, I wasn’t quick enough and quite a few dates have already passed, including those in Paris, sorry).

The “chocolate show,” a magical chocolate tasting for Christmas, will take place in the Lafayette Gourmet sections of Marseille Bourse (November 30 from 4 PM to 8 PM) and Nice Cap 3000 (December 7 from 2 PM to 7 PM).
