The first time I came to this restaurant was for a lovely evening discovering Bergerac Duras wines last June, featuring very successful food and wine pairings. I returned this summer to discover their “regular” menu during a dinner with my favorite photographer.
I already really liked the place with its glass-fronted facade overlooking the Rue de Paradis. The restaurant is located right next to the Manoir de Paris, a Parisian house of terror that I adore!

In terms of decor, it’s very elegant and the navy velvet banquettes are quite comfortable. The whole look gives the place a little Art Deco vibe that I really like. The establishment is spread over two floors, with the 1st floor available to book for events or private dinners.
The restaurant was also recently voted best bistro and second-best restaurant in the 10th arrondissement of Paris by the Gault&Millau 2019 guide.

At the head of this restaurant is Hugo Pinto, the former sous-chef at Cyril Lignac’s Le Quinzième, who offers us locavore cuisine with fresh, seasonal products in a “Mediterranean Riviera” spirit.
To try:
- As a starter, the stuffed macaroni with foie gras, mushrooms & truffle, and gratinéed aged Comté cheese (€13) is incredibly indulgent.

- For enthusiasts, you can also try the grilled octopus tentacle with homemade hummus and Espelette pepper (€14).

- For the main course, the Fish & Chips, corn flake tempura style with tartar sauce and homemade chips (€19), is a real success! And it’s actually quite light, contrary to what you might think.

- On the meat side, the duck breast with Darphin potato and raspberries (€22) delighted my favorite photographer.

- For dessert, you absolutely must (it’s an order!) try the “brioche retrouvée”, a revisited version of French toast with caramelized pears and salted butter caramel (€9)! It is truly to die for!

- If you like rhubarb and want something lighter, you can try the poached rhubarb dessert in syrup with crumble and verbena ice cream (€9).

- As for wines, there is a selection of natural wines, among others, offering great variety.
Price: starters between €10 and €14 / main courses between €15 and €24 / desserts €9 / discovery menu with starter + main + dessert for €33
The hot tip: the €16 lunch menu served Monday to Friday, with a starter + main + dessert that changes every day (2 choices each time)
