As part of the Bazar’s Exceptional Workshops, organized by BHV between May 9 and June 2, 2012, chefs Alain Passard and Michel Roth will host free cooking workshops, open to those who register in advance via the BHV Facebook page.
Other events, centered around fashion, home decor, and knitting, will be set up during the event, each one associated with a specific personality.
This series of exceptional workshops is aimed at fans of the “Do it yourself” movement, and Nespresso, Antik Batik, and Phildar are partners in this entirely free initiative.
- On Saturday, May 12, 2012, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, outdoors in a pop-up vegetable garden set up on the BHV Rivoli terrace, chef Alain Passard invites cooking enthusiasts to join him. His workshop will focus on the theme of improvisation with asparagus and spring vegetables.
- On Wednesday, May 30 and Saturday, June 2, 2012, it will be Michel Roth‘s turn to host workshops at 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM, and 4:30 PM. Hosted in a window display of the Parisian department store, participants and the chef will prepare a gourmet coffee. The Ritz chef will share his tips for enhancing an Espresso.
- On Wednesday the 23rd, Thursday the 24th, Friday the 25th, and Saturday, May 26, 2012, from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, in a store window on Rue de Rivoli, Gabriella Cortese-Rioufol for Antik Batik will host a sewing workshop titled Create your own boutis pouch.
- Two workshops on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM featuring Cerise Bentz and Cristina Cordula for La Cerise sur le Chapeau, who will host the fashion customization workshop Create your own Panama hat, and Cendrine Domingez and Anne Solange Tardy will host the home decor workshop Craft your own lampshade.
- On Monday, May 14 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, May 15 from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM, and Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, in a BHV window display on Rue de Rivoli, Michel Klein will host the Techno Knitting workshop. The concept is to knit a cover for your motorcycle helmet with Michel Klein or fun and trendy pouches for smartphones. Workshops held in partnership with Phildar.
