by Melle Bon Plan
Published: Updated:

The Gastronomy Festival (an event I have been covering since its very first edition) will take place this year on Friday, September 25th, Saturday, September 26th, and Sunday, September 27th, 2015.

The theme of this 5th edition, “Creativity and Audacity,” highlights, as its title suggests, the creativity and boldness of French chefs and artisans.

More than 6,600 events are planned throughout France and abroad, including 25 banquets and 42 picnics!

On the program, therefore, is a beautiful diversity of events across the regions: popular banquets, picnics, tastings, special menus in restaurants and school canteens, visits to companies or farms, exhibitions, conferences, and even street performances.

I also advise you to take a close look at the event’s program to make the most of these days.

The “Tous au Restaurant” Operation!

The Tous au Restaurant event, launched for the first time in June 2010 at the initiative of chef Alain Ducasse and Laurent Plantier, is the must-attend event for restaurateurs and the general public.

This year, it is from September 21st to October 4th, 2015, with the desire to open restaurants to the greatest number of people, that Tous au Restaurant! returns with “Your guest is our guest,” the formula that made the event a success.

Thus, in more than 1,000 participating establishments, the restaurateur will offer the second guest the Tous au Restaurant menu, consisting of a starter, a main course, and a dessert.

The tip: Table reservations are made only via the Tous au Restaurant website and I advise you to start as soon as they open on September 14th.
