Created by Sylvie Douce and François Jeantet, the Salon du Chocolat is a unique cultural, gourmet, and artistic event dedicated to Chocolate. It serves (among other things) to unveil the best chocolatiers and the latest innovations in the chocolate world.

This year, the Salon du Chocolat will take place from October 28th to November 1st, 2015 in Paris for its 21st edition.

From Pierre Hermé to Pierre Marcolini, including JP Hévin, Christophe Michalak, Hugues Pouget, Vincent Guerlais, François Pralus (stand D7), and even Philippe Conticini… The biggest names and the rising generation of chocolate and pastry making have been showcasing their work at this flagship venue for 20 years.

On the program: masterclasses, demonstrations, book signings, educational workshops for kids and adults, culinary competitions, a lecture series, and more…

• Demonstration by Hugo Correia, the pastry chef from Table du Lancaster for the special Starred Day, on Friday, October 30th at 6 PM.

• The TV show Le Meilleur Pâtissier comes to the Salon du Chocolat on Saturday, October 31st from 2 PM to 4 PM for culinary demonstrations on the main stage. Roxane, Caroline, Cyril, Jean-Pierre, Anissa, Carine, Gérard, and Véronique will prepare pastries in front of the public, right in the heart of the salon at the “Cacao Show” area.

• The World Chocolate Masters, the largest international competition solely dedicated to the art of chocolate. This year during the Paris Salon du Chocolat from October 28th to 30th, 20 of the best pastry chefs, chocolatiers, and chefs from around the world will face off before a jury on the theme “Inspiration from Nature”.

• Masterclasses hosted by the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon & Maison Cémoi focusing on the pairing of Vins Doux Naturels (natural sweet wines) and chocolate on Friday, October 30th at 5 PM and Saturday, October 31st at 12 PM.

• Daily fashion shows of chocolate dresses that are totally “Ba-Rock,” every day at 5 PM. For this occasion, chocolatier Jean-Paul Hévin has teamed up with fashion designer Max Chaoul to create a dress composed of thousands of chocolate butterflies.
