The Scottish whisky brand The Balvenie is hitting the roads of France from April 4th to June 25th, 2013 to meet exceptional artisans.
A quick reminder about The Balvenie, which remains in the heart of Scotland, in the Highlands region, a distillery that still performs all the essential stages of Single Malt production in an artisanal way.
The Balvenie grows its own barley, possesses one of the last remaining working malting floors, continues to employ a team of experienced resident coopers and coppersmiths to maintain its casks and stills, and has called upon one of the most experienced Malt Masters in the industry, David Stewart, for over 50 years.
It is because The Balvenie is deeply rooted in craftsmanship that it wishes to combine its expertise with that of 10 exceptional artisans, meticulously selected across 8 cities in France.
Damien Anglada, the brand ambassador, will be traveling from April 4th to June 25th to meet these artisans and will invite 60 consumers to taste exceptional The Balvenie expressions.
On this occasion, the guests of this Balvenie Tour will also be able to discover the artisan’s world, their expertise, and their creations, to enjoy a privileged moment.
The Balvenie Tour will begin and end in Paris:
- April 4th: Maison Clairvoy, bootmaker since 1945 in Paris
- April 11th: Luc Degeorges, luthier in Paris
- April 18th: Meert, the authentic waffle in Lille
- April 23rd: La Maison des Canuts, silk weaving in Lyon

As for me, I have already signed up for the June 25th event, especially since I am a fan collector, so I am particularly looking forward to it!
