Today, I’m taking you on a culinary journey to the “Roof of the World,” all while staying right here in the streets of the capital! If you follow me, you know that I particularly love cuisines that transport your taste buds and offer a real change of scenery. Tibetan gastronomy, still sometimes little-known, is a cuisine of the heart—generous and perfect for some comfort.
Between the must-try momos (those delicious steamed or fried dumplings), the piping hot and fragrant thukpa soups, or even the traditional Tibetan salted butter tea (made with yak butter in Tibet, though not in Paris unfortunately due to import restrictions), I had the pleasure of discovering a spot tucked away in the 10th arrondissement of Paris. It was an immersion into Tibetan culture, with a warm welcome and flavorful, very generous dishes. As is my habit with this type of article, I will update it regularly with my new finds to keep sharing my best addresses for Tibetan restaurants in Paris with you!

Les Joyaux du Tibet
Today, I’m taking you to the 10th arrondissement for a trip straight to Tibet without leaving Paris! We stepped through the door of the restaurant Les Joyaux du Tibet, an address that focuses on 100% homemade food and skillfully navigates between pure traditions and slightly fusion cuisine.
We made plenty of surprising discoveries there, like this unique Tibetan specialty, Droma markhu (€15), made with wild ginseng grown at an altitude of 4,000m. We also enjoyed fresh beef Chowmein stir-fried noodles (€10.90), chicken Momos (a type of Tibetan dumpling – €9.50), or even a refreshing Tibetan-inspired barley beer. I also highly recommend trying the Tibetan tea, a quite original specialty served with salted butter (€4 per teapot). In short, it’s a truly gourmet address to discover beautiful cuisine that we aren’t used to tasting!
