And I can assure you that finding myself alone in front of a plate like that was not my best culinary or social experience.
So, I particularly thought back to this unpleasant period when I discovered the concept of the young startup DuoDej. Indeed, the latter wishes to rehabilitate the lunch break so that everyone can make it a moment of meeting and exchange… for two!
This platform allows its members to perform a search to be put in contact with a person to arrange a lunch. A very simple idea, but also extremely friendly.
Whether you are alone at lunchtime or simply want to have lunch with people other than your colleagues and make new friends, this site is made for you!
The Duodej site offers users 2 possibilities:
- the express search where you just need to enter the postal code of the place where you want to
have lunch, and the date you are available for lunch to see the DuoDej members corresponding to your search appear in a few seconds.
- plan a lunch with a more precise search, where it is possible to fill in 5 different criteria to find a person to have lunch with: lunch date, postal code, gender and age range of the person you want to have lunch with, and lunch budget.
Registration is free and takes only a few clicks.
All you need to do is provide your name (which will not be disclosed on the site), your first name, and your email address. You can update your profile at any time by indicating your age, your education, your main occupation as well as its business sector, your interests, and your hobbies. Each of these details is optional. All the information entered will appear on your profile next to your first name and will be seen by DuoDej members in response to one of their searches.
Then, you simply pay €1 a la carte per lunch if you have found your lunch companion, or you can opt for a subscription. The formula is therefore quite flexible.
