My 2017 Advent Calendars (giveaway inside)

Published: Updated:

A quick post for this December 1st, to start the countdown to Christmas with you—one of my favorite times of the year—and to finish 2017 in style and with plenty of treats…

Here is a little selection of advent calendars, gathered here and there to make you want to open a little window with a lovely gift every day until December 24th. I, for one, definitely want to!

By the way, if you follow me on social media, you must have seen here or here that I am organizing a special Mademoiselle Bon Plan Advent Calendar throughout the month of December, with nice prizes to be won almost every day, either on my social media (Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram) or on the blog. You’ll need to search every day for where the prize is hidden to enter the giveaway. And actually, it starts today with a little gourmet surprise at the end of this article…

Personalized wooden Advent calendar with Christmas decorations and numbers.

A bit of history: The Advent calendar is a German tradition, created to help children wait for Christmas. Originally, they were given a pious image each morning, captioned with a Bible verse or an invitation to perform a good deed. Over time, treats and other sweets gradually replaced the images.
