Below, you’ll find a small selection of top tips and free events set up for this celebration, so you can make the most of February 14th, whether you’re in a relationship or not.
L’Amour est dans le boîtier at Le Zèbre de Belleville
An original outing idea, whether you’re single and looking for new encounters by having a fun night out, or in a relationship and looking to spend a quirky and amusing evening in the company of your sweetheart. The concept is quite unique and original: the audience is equipped with voting remotes that allow them to select options for the script.
With one remote for every 4-6 people, the voting becomes a collaborative choice with your table neighbors, making it a great opportunity to exchange opinions on the story’s direction, male/female relationships, etc. The interaction is twofold: between the audience and the actors, and within the audience itself!
This sparkling play is being performed at Le Zèbre de Belleville, with a cozy cabaret atmosphere guaranteed, and February 14th will also be the final performance.
Valentine’s Day 2013: McCafé offers a free drink
The McCafé chain, found in famous McDonald’s, is offering a great deal for Valentine’s Day 2013. On February 14th, 2013, for every drink purchased, you will get a second identical one for free. This promotion is valid for couples as well as friends.
A fun contest with the hotel Montmartre Mon amour and Parigramme
On the occasion of the release of the guide Trouver un Jules à Paris (Finding a guy in Paris), written by Géraldine Lozier, Parigramme editions invite you to share the funniest encounter or the most unusual love at first sight that has happened to you in the streets, cafes, or gardens of Paris…
Whether the story lasted an hour or ten years, you must describe the moment of the meeting in a maximum of 500 characters, sent to: mpaul-boncour@parigramme.fr (submission deadline: February 14, 2013).
You will then be entered into a prize draw to win a dream night at the Montmartre Mon amour hotel or one of the 50 invitations to attend a discovery cocktail party in this romantic location.
Meet singles at a restaurant with Meetserious
This dating site called Meetserious, which does away with online chatting, gathers 6 singles around a restaurant table. The 6 guests have the entire meal to get to know each other while dining at a restaurant selected by the site. The goal is to communicate based on values of authenticity, sharing, and conviviality, and to bring back the magic of a romantic encounter.
Plus, it’s an opportunity to do a good deed, since 10% of the bills are donated to the “association of the month“. Each month, 3 associations are submitted to the site’s members for a vote, and the association that gathers the most votes benefits from the total monthly pot. Unfortunately, the site is currently only available in Paris.

Have breakfast in bed with your loved one
The breakfast shop Claus, which I have already mentioned in the brunch section, is offering to celebrate Valentine’s Day by exceptionally delivering breakfast for couples on the morning of February 14, 2013 (2 sets at €59 and €85 for two). Be careful though, orders must be placed before Tuesday, February 12th, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM at 01 42 33 55 10.

The Love Box Wine
Subscription boxes are the trend; you couldn’t have missed it, even if you live as a hermit at home (an even more aggravating circumstance for becoming a box-addict). Anyway, myCaviste.com, a company selling wines and wine subscriptions online, gives you an original gift idea to seduce your other half with the Love Box Wine. On the program: 2 bottles of wine + a tasting sheet + a little gift for the girls (price €29.90). A great tip for “Desperate Valentines” looking for a gift for Valentine’s Day!

The Dark Valentine Night at Le Manoir de Paris
If you really want to spend a Valentine’s Day like no other, I advise you to head to Le Manoir de Paris, a place I particularly like. On the program: the manor tour, but in total darkness on Thursday, February 14th only, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Shivers guaranteed…

Glamorous gift ideas for this Valentine’s Day
If you’re looking to spice up this Valentine’s Day evening, maybe a quick look at the Glamuse site will give you some ideas…

The Harcourt duo photo booth at MK2 Bibliothèque
MK2, in partnership with Studio Harcourt, has installed a luxurious Harcourt Duo booth for Valentine’s Day, replacing the “single” booth in place since 2011. With your lover, your best friend, or your dear mom, it is now possible to pose as a pair at the MK2 Bibliothèque cinema in Paris, in the 13th arrondissement. This high-tech booth magically reproduces the gradient of shadows and lights as well as the legendary “halo” without using a flash, but rather continuous light, just like at Studio Harcourt. A beautiful gift idea for Valentine’s Day or a lovely love souvenir….
Price of the photo session: €10 in 10×15 portrait format, horizontal or vertical

All that’s left for me to do is wish you all a very happy Valentine’s Day!
