The Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival

The Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival is an important event in the Parisian autumn. First, because I’m a former resident of the neighborhood, then because yes, I admit it, I love wine, but also because it is a festive and friendly moment.

Sponsored this year by the singer Anggun and food critic Jean-Luc Petitrenaud, this 2012 Grape Harvest Festival, which will take place from October 10 to 14, will be themed around the awakening of the five senses and will offer an exceptionally rich and varied program, mixing music, words, exhibitions, gastronomy, and oenology.

On the program:

  • The grand parade on Saturday, October 13, starting at 3 PM from the 18th arrondissement town hall, arriving at the Ronsard gymnasium
  • The fireworks display on Saturday, October 13 at 9:45 PM, from the Square Louise Michel
  • The ceremony of the now-famous non-marriage proposals;
  • Chocolate Day on October 11
  • Free tastings
  • A visit to the Clos de Montmartre vineyard

In short, a great range of activities during these 4 days of celebration.

Sound and light show at the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Montmartre at night.
