Summer Lunch at Marcello Paris

I have passed by the Mabillon market many times and often “peered” at this little terrace below Rue Mabillon, hidden from the eyes of passersby. And then one day, I was finally there, sitting at a small table on this charming terrace, sipping a cocktail and enjoying some good pasta—my dream had come true (yes, I know, it doesn’t take much for me)!

To tell you more, Marcello is a Parisian restaurant located in the 6th arrondissement, with a menu featuring Turinese accents, offering very good Italian products.

For this summer, it is a great spot for an aperitif, lunch, or a romantic dinner in the shade of the establishment’s green terrace, which also happens to be a historical site of the capital, known as “la petite cour.”

Accessing it is actually quite surprising, as you have to cross a small footbridge, enter a building, and then take a staircase to go down to the restaurant.

To try:

  • As a starter to share, I warmly recommend the half Nera burrata with black truffle puree (€16), which is to die for if you like that!

  • For the main course, the Ricotta gnocchi, with lemon cream, organic lemon tartare, and grated bottarga (a dish made from fish roe) (€23) are reserved for those who enjoy tangy and salty dishes.

  • The Evergreen pasta, tagliolini with ultra-green pesto, burrata, and toasted pine nuts (€21) are quite fresh and therefore a good option for the summer season, I think.

  • For dessert, the coffee tiramisu is obviously not bad at all (you know my addiction to this dessert…), and my favorite photographer tested the red berry panna cotta (€11), which is also very successful.

  • As for drinks, the establishment offers nice Italian wines by the glass between €6 and €13, but also some rather successful homemade cocktails (between €11 and €13)!

The big plus: the terrace spot, ideal for summer!!!!

The great tip: lunch menu from 12 PM to 3 PM on weekdays for €25 with antipasti + main course or main course + dessert

Thanks to Marcello Paris for this invitation.
