Chez Bruce, Asian restaurant and cocktail bar

This Asian restaurant and cocktail bar is the 3rd venue opened by Vincent and Nghia after W For Wok and Goku Asian Canteen (2 addresses I unfortunately don’t know yet).

We tested it this summer with my favorite photographer, and it’s yet another one of those nice little spots to grab a drink and have a bite in the evening in Paris, just like the ones we love to discover!

This time, the establishment is located in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, near the buzzing Château d’eau neighborhood.

The venue offers a series of small dishes with Asian inspirations, tapas-style to share, but also more substantial plates, iconic from all 4 corners of Asia.

Regarding cocktails:

  • The house’s cocktail menu is quite super short (4 cocktails to choose from) but of very high quality and above all very original. I recommend you try the Blue Elephant with rum, mint, and tonic (€10) or the Lady Pink with sake, rose syrup, and tonic (€8).

Food to taste:

  • To start and share some small tapas-style starters, we had: the Agedofu, fried tofu with a shiitake broth (€8); the Premium Burrata with a Japanese twist with rice chips, pickled cherries, sancho pepper, and basil oil (€10); the Drunken Clams, clams with a Thai basil prikpao sauce (€5).

  • For the main course, we tasted the Korean-style beef Ssam with chimichurri and ssamjang sauce (€16) and accompanied it with fresh noodles with sautéed vegetables in soy sauce and a perfect egg (€9).

  • For dessert, we opted for a coconut and mango flan with peanuts (€8), which I believe was the dessert of the day.

If you are passing through the neighborhood, don’t hesitate to sit down for a cocktail and a bite to eat at Chez Bruce; the atmosphere is relaxed, and the place is cool.

Thanks to Melody and the Bruce restaurant for this lovely invitation.
