Today on the blog, I’m sharing a small selection of Vietnamese restaurants in Paris and around the capital. This is a collection of the spots I’ve had the chance to test in the city, as I find this cuisine truly tasty and exotic. And as usual, I update this article regularly as I make new discoveries!

Mây Bay
Located in Vincennes (near the Saint-Mandé metro station), this Vietnamese restaurant offers 100% vegetarian cuisine, with several completely vegan options. Mây Bay means “clouds flying away” in Vietnamese, which I found very poetic. The setting is charming and the welcome is very warm.
My recommendations: the mocktails are very nice (€9) / for an appetizer, the crispy platter to share for 2 people with spring rolls, dumplings, and fritters (€22), or the Banh cuon, fine steamed crepes with vegetables and black mushrooms (€10) / for the main course, the Bà Dung pot, a Vietnamese-style curry (€18.90), or the Mây Bay Hu tieu, stir-fried rice noodles with egg, tofu, and peanuts (€17.50) / for dessert, the Mây Bay Cloud, a cake scented with pandan and coconut milk (€9) / and also the iced Vietnamese coffee with coconut milk and pandan flavoring, a great find (€9).

May Hong, a Vietnamese institution offering authentic family-style cuisine in Paris, opened a second location in 2025 in the Asian quarter of the 13th arrondissement, not far from where we live. We started by tasting the bahn cuon, a type of savory cake or crepe with pork, sometimes called Vietnamese dumplings (€7.50), which were delicious. For the next course, we tried the specialty of the house, which is Vietnamese soups: we had the Banh Canh (€13.50), a soup with thick noodles that we seasoned with a little chili, though not too much as it was already well-spiced for us. Then, you can’t skip the Pho (€13.50), the famous Tonkinese soup that is a staple of Vietnamese cuisine and the restaurant’s signature dish. Finally, for dessert, we tested the homemade flan (€5.50) served with crushed ice, as is apparently the trend in Vietnam, as well as a type of tofu flan with caramelized sugar and ginger.

Bolkiri: Vietnamese street food
Bolkiri is a restaurant chain (11 locations in Paris and the Ile-de-France region) specializing in Vietnamese street food, founded in 2020 by Kevin Jianhui Jin. For our part, we went to discover the location near République. It’s a family business that offers dishes prepared to order using fresh products and quality ingredients. It’s a fast-food chain, but I must say I was impressed by the quality of the dishes and the low prices.

22 Avenue de la République, Paris 75011
Price: Bò-Bùn menu with drink €10.40 / Pad Thai €11.50 / signature bo-bun €8.90
Hanoi Corner is the first Vietnamese coffee shop in the capital! The address located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris has been around for 7 years now. At lunchtime, people come to enjoy their very good Bo bun or their delicious Banh-Mi, you know, that famous Vietnamese sandwich. And of course, the specialty of the house is the Vietnamese “cà phê”, made from sustainable and ethically sourced beans, roasted every week in Paris. We discovered the Vietnamese filter method where the coffee drips drop by drop.
To accompany all this, the shop offers homemade pastries, like this coconut cookie or the pandan chiffon cake (€3.50). And my favorite part of this testing was the egg coffee (€7), a coffee with egg, also called “Vietnamese tiramisu,” made with traditional coffee, egg yolk, and condensed milk. It has a strong scent of egg yolk, but I really loved the taste, and I think I could go back just to have this coffee-dessert!

L’Indochine
Today I’m taking you to the Vietnamese restaurant L’Indochine, located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Here everything is homemade, and you can enjoy authentic Vietnamese dishes. We had spring rolls (count €6.50 for 4 pieces) or Vietnamese dumplings with grilled pork (€7.50). I also recommend their bo bun which is super good, and finally we also tasted their Vietnamese crepe with pork and shrimp (€13.50), which we ate with our hands, just like the regulars!

C’ Trop Bun
This small, colorfully decorated restaurant, which I tested with my friend Julie, offers Vietnamese street food. The dishes are homemade on-site using fresh, quality ingredients. On the menu: Bánh mì, Bò bún, spring rolls, and fresh-pressed sugarcane juice (which I recommend you try, as it’s the house specialty, and the Vietnamese sugarcane is imported directly from Can Tho). And at the end of your meal, don’t forget to try the Vietnamese coffee (served hot or iced)!
