La Cantine Max y Jeremy, a modern tapas bar

You know I love hanging out on the lively Faubourg Saint Denis street and discovering the many little restaurants that happily punctuate this Parisian thoroughfare. This Parisian neighborhood in the 10th arrondissement is both popular and bobo, and at its heart, many addresses dedicated to the art of living and good food are blossoming.

After their first tapas bistroMax y Jeremy” opened in the Montorgueil neighborhood, followed by a second location on Rue Charles-François Dupuis in the 3rd, partners Maxime Gues and Jeremy Gatelet decided to set up shop in this lively area to open La Cantine Max y Jeremy.

The menu highlights Spain and the Basque Country, featuring a rigorous selection of wines from around the world, tapas made to order and served in vintage porcelain, along with cold cuts and cheeses from the Aspe Valley…

Special mention for the very good homemade croquetas de Bellota (€6)! I want to specify this because I am a real fan of these little Iberian ham balls stuffed with a béchamel sauce and coated in breadcrumbs.

In terms of tapas, I also advise you to try the egg with asparagus velouté (€6.50), the mozzarella panna (€6.50), the succulent Moorish-style salt cod fritters (€5), and the nano burger (€7).

Note (even though I haven’t had the chance to try it) that La Cantine Max y Jeremy also offers a Galician beef rib steak selected by the pope of meat in the Basque Country: Imanol Jaca.

Both a bar and restaurant, the canteen is open for lunch, dinner, and aperitif time to spend a warm and festive moment with an ultra-smiling team, which is a pleasure!

In short, I can’t recommend enough that you head over to Max y Jeremy for a tapas happy hour or a casual meal; the prices are very reasonable and the products are super good.

The little extra: the sunny terrace overlooking the Rue du Faubourg Saint Denis for sunny days.
