Since we love to gossip like real ‘pipelettes’ when we brunch with the girls, we couldn’t really miss out on this address.
The concept of Les Pipelettes is to combine a tea room/restaurant and a gourmet grocery store in the Denfert-Rochereau neighborhood.
Brunch description:
- for the sweet part, the house offers a basket of fresh bread and scones (homemade, they are delicious), butter and jam, a hot drink of your choice and a fresh homemade fruit juice (which changes according to the moods of the owners), and fromage blanc with cereals.
- for the savory part, you are entitled to a soft-boiled egg and a plate of your choice. As for me, I chose the plate with 1 pot of tarama, 2 slices of smoked salmon, and sautéed potatoes, which were truly succulent.
The brunch at Les Pipelettes is €21. A nice extra: the same brunch is offered for children, in smaller portions and for €14.
Verdict : I really liked the setting; I felt a bit like I was at home, and the brunch is very complete (none of us managed to finish everything). The products were also of good quality with even a touch of originality. And budget-wise, it remains very reasonable.
Note: a small detail, this brunch is offered only on Saturdays, from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
I highly recommend booking if you want to try this place, because there are few tables and it fills up very quickly.
