Merce & the Muse is the Parisian brunch with a New York twist, located in a tiny coffee shop near the République area.
This place with its eclectic and vintage decor is run by a young American woman named Merce and exudes a truly cozy and friendly atmosphere.
The brunch menu for €20 includes homemade bread and jam, a hot drink, freshly squeezed orange juice, two small seasonal salads, two slices of rye bread with fresh cheese and smoked salmon, and a soft-boiled egg.
There is another smaller brunch option available for €10.
The place also offers delicious cakes, cookies, and scones—not included in the brunch menu, but almost half-price if you order them in addition to the brunch, which is great if you want to end on a sweet note.
Since the place is very tiny and does not take reservations, I highly recommend arriving early on the weekend to grab brunch.
