Tasting and gastronomy at the restaurant Le Relais du Parc

The Hôtel Renaissance Parc Trocadéro is a place I really appreciate. Remember, last year I took you for a tour of its summer garden.

This year, I went back to enjoy its magnificent, very shady indoor terrace—nestled in the middle of lush vegetation (80 seats)—and to discover the new menu by Stéphane Duchiron, the hotel’s restaurant Chef, Le Relais du Parc.

He trained at the Grégoire Ferrandi School of French Culinary Arts, and worked with Jacques Lameloise, Stéphane Raimbault at L’Oasis, Guy Savoy, and Roland Durand at Le Passiflore.

Since 2013, he has been leading the kitchens of Le Relais du Parc, affiliated with the Marriott group.

His cooking focuses first and foremost on the ingredients, thought of as the center of his culinary creations, balancing authenticity and discovery, with some Asian inspirations for this spring/summer menu.

The menu items change about every 2 weeks, depending on the seasons and the market, of course.

Must try:

  • Langoustines: Crispy and paired with sweet pomelo… a poem on the palate…

Crispy shrimp in a nest with zucchini and grapefruit.

  • Crab Cannelloni: with preserved lemons and coriander shoots, finger lime, and green crab broth with vanilla (poured over the dish during presentation, creating a lovely effect – €23), one of the “star” starters on this new menu.

  • Barramundi fillet à la plancha, with a shellfish emulsion and young spring vegetables in a tagine style (€31).

Grilled fish fillet, roasted vegetables, and emulsion on a white plate.

  • Aveyron Lamb with asparagus, one of the chef’s specialties to discover (€27), with, once again, meat that literally melts in the mouth!

Beef fillet served with green asparagus, sauce, and yellow mousse.

  • Lemon and Olive Oil: a light Nice lemon mousse, olive oil biscuit, and honey from the Montagnette (€11) to finish the meal on a sweet note.

Dessert at the restaurant: white entremet, sorbet, and orange tuile.

As in all restaurants of this quality, the food and wine pairings are perfectly recommended by the sommelier, who will introduce you to small-scale producers and lesser-known appellations, for an oenological discovery just the way I like them.

Price: Tasting menu in 7 courses at €75 / lunch from the chalkboard with dish + drink at €24 / starter + main or main + dessert at €29 / starter + main + dessert at €36 / dinner à la carte between €30 and €60 / Sunday brunch at €59 for adults and €29 for children (under 12).

The Good Deal: during the summer, the Hôtel Renaissance Paris le Parc Trocadéro opens its terrace every Saturday evening from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM with Brazilian Lounge music to enjoy exclusive cocktails made in partnership with the drink Vita Coco!

In conclusion, a very lovely spot to visit this summer for a drink early in the evening or for a romantic dinner in a setting conducive to intimacy and romance.
