The place I am introducing to you today smells of fresh sea air, and it has been one of my favorites among Parisian spots in recent months.
La Reine Mer, which recently opened its doors in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, is a new concept that is all at once a fishmonger, a caterer, and a restaurant.

The establishment supports responsible production and consumption through an offer of whole fish or fillets, shellfish, whether raw or cooked, to be enjoyed on-site, for takeaway, or for delivery—all sourced from 100% French sustainable fishing (an ethical choice that I fully endorse).
The owner, Grégory Areinx (a tattooed guy who incidentally has the look of a sailor), welcomes you with simplicity and human warmth to offer advice on tasting his products or to seat you at the counter at one of the restaurant’s 12 seats (I advise you to book ahead as the place fills up quickly, naturally).

At lunch and dinner, you can enjoy the preparations available for takeaway on-site, as well as hot and cold dishes prepared to order before your eyes (with themes changing according to the days of the week), all accompanied by a lovely selection of wines (between €5.50 and €12 per glass).

To taste:
- My favorite photographer and I decided to order several small hot and cold dishes in tapas style to share, and everything was absolutely delicious: the tarama (a killer!! €9); the pollack ceviche with Thai coriander and pomegranate (€14); a Banka trout gravelax (€9); a small squash soup (€5); and a Banka trout tartar with soy, sesame, and ginger (€14).

- For dessert, to finish on a sweet note, we tried the prune Far Breton and the house crumble.

Price: lunch special from €9 and dish of the day at €16
The great tip: Happy Oyster Hour every day from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM with 6 oysters and a glass of wine for €9 (unbeatable, I think! )

A big thank you to La Reine Mer and Morgane for this beautiful invitation.

La Reine Mer 1, rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud, 75011 Paris open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM and Sunday from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM (fishmonger only)
