Lunch at restaurant Korus

This recent gem nestled in the 11th arrondissement of Paris is the brainchild of two enthusiasts, Afrae and Yann Brasseur, who wanted to create a restaurant that reflects their personal vision of hospitality. A perfect harmony between the art of welcoming guests and the art of fine dining!

We went to test Korus on a Saturday lunch last March (yes, I know it was a while ago…) with my favorite photographer for a lunch bursting with colors and flavors.

In terms of decor, it’s simple yet elegant, with small feminine touches of color that brighten up the space.

On the plate, you’ll find high-quality ingredients sourced from clean agriculture, prepared in a simple, refined, and indulgent way to elevate them. This also results in a very short menu that changes depending on what’s in season. And as you know, I repeat it all the time, but short menus are often a guarantee of high product quality!

What to taste from the lunch menu the day we visited:

  • For starters, Forono beetroot salad with dill sauce or poultry liver mousse with cognac.

Korus meal: pâté, beetroot, bread, and glasses of red and white wine.

  • For mains, deboned chicken leg with white cabbage and anchovy aioli, or pollack and haddock tartare with Jerusalem artichoke and coriander.

  • For dessert, the lime panna cotta was very light—perfect for ending this meal! And paired with a good coffee, it’s even better!

In the same spirit, the house offers a selection of very interesting natural and biodynamic wines. There’s also a small selection of wines by the glass ranging from €7 to €15.

The tip: the lunch menu with starter + main + dessert for €20 / starter + main or main + dessert for €17.50 (served from Wednesday to Saturday)

Thanks to restaurant Korus and Vinciane for the invitation.
