What could be more pleasant than a lovely terrace when the sunny days arrive?
Well, I set out on a quest to find the best Parisian spots of the summer in terms of terraces just for you. Whether it’s for a quick drink or for dinner, here is my little summer selection, which is by no means exhaustive, of course!

Le Café Cour, a new pop-up venue in the heart of Le Marais
Le Groupe SOS has partnered with the Crédit Municipal de Paris to bring a pop-up café to life in the heart of Le Marais this summer.
Le Café Cour is nestled in the Cour Renaudot, an atypical and historic site, open to the public for the first time. Indeed, this listed courtyard houses remnants of the medieval walls of Paris, built under Philippe-Auguste in the 13th century (you can actually find many remnants of these walls all over Paris).
With a summer menu combined with festive programming, this haven of peace is one of the most sought-after spots of the summer (so there is sometimes a bit of a wait to get in). In fact, protected from the cacophony of street terraces and the city hustle, you can enjoy this exceptional half-shaded, half-sunny terrace to gather in a calm and relaxed setting.
On the agenda: a few grapevines for decoration, concerts, and exhibitions for entertainment, and fresh recipes made mostly from organic, local, or fair-trade products for your taste buds.
For drinks, enjoy must-have labeled or certified summer wines (organic, Biodyvin, Ecocert), inventive cocktails, fresh beer brewed in the Île-de-France region (Gallia), and a selection of teas, coffees, and responsible fruit juices.
Café Cour
55/57 rue des Francs-Bourgeois

The hidden terrace of the Hôtel Jules et Jim bar
Here is a confidential address I hesitated to share here, as I wanted to keep it just for myself…
Invisible from the street and tucked away in the heart of the hotel, the bar extends for the summer season onto its inner courtyard, decorated with a nice vertical garden.
You come here to lounge in a very relaxed atmosphere and sip on the establishment’s delicious cocktails for hours.
In total, there are 15 cocktails imagined by Régis, the hotel’s bartender, but if you are adventurous, you can also let yourself be guided by your current cravings and enjoy a creation imagined just for you.
Bar at the Hôtel Jules&Jim 11, rue des Gravilliers 75003 Paris Open daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM A little extra: fresh seasonal fruits used in all the cocktails. Price of cocktails: between €14 and €16

The penthouse terrace of the Hôtel Warwick Champs-Elysées
This chic and elegant hotel is ideally located on the most beautiful avenue in the world, in the heart of what is called the Golden Triangle of Parisian luxury.
With the arrival of sunny days, the hotel’s restaurant, the W, led by young chef Ludovic Bonneville, gains some height and moves to the terrace on the hotel’s penthouse floor with a magnificent view over the rooftops of Paris.
In short, a place where you would want to hang out for hours because it feels so good; a place I highly recommend for a romantic meal or drink.
Hôtel Warwick Champs-Elysées
5 rue de Berri 75008 Paris
Open Monday to Friday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
From June to August

The summer terrace of the Lolabar, in front of the Hôtel Banke
The Hôtel Banke, a magnificent 5-star boutique hotel housed in a 19th-century historic building (a former bank) located in the Opéra district, offers a nice little terrace in front of its facade to enjoy the summer season.
The Lolabar terrace invites you to relax under the shade of parasols, to sip one of the many cocktails (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) from the new menu, accompanied by an assortment of tapas to enjoy the summer in an Iberian atmosphere, because the Derby Hotels Collection group is a Spanish hotel chain (yes, really!).
Must-try:
- Pimientos del padron with olive oil & Guérande fleur de sel (€7).
- Croquetas with Bellota ham, light béchamel, and Emmental cheese (€7).
- Pan de cristal con tomate + pimientos del padron + Bellota croquetas (sharing plate for 2 – €15).
- L’Estragordinaire Cocktail, a Mojito twist with 21Rhum Neisson l’Esprit Blanc + Saint Germain Liqueur + Tarragon + Lime + Soda Water + Dr Emerigab Teapot Bitters (€21).
- Cocoon (non-alcoholic cocktail) Vaïvaï Coconut water + Kaffir Lime peel + Bourbon Vanilla syrup (€12).

The hidden terrace of the Hôtel Sofitel Le Faubourg
The Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg has been entirely redecorated by Didier Gomez and is starting a beautiful collaboration with Yannick Alléno through the opening of its new restaurant, Stay Faubourg.
It is truly the spirit of Parisian fashion that reigns in this hotel, which is nestled in the heart of the Faubourg Saint-Honoré and holds a magnificent inner terrace like a little green patio.

The terrace of the Novotel des Halles
I’ve passed by this hotel so many times, right next to the Halles, without ever thinking to go inside, that I wouldn’t even know how to count them.
It took an invitation from a French artist duo, Mel et Kio, who applied their dreamlike universe to the 7 pillars of the Parisian hotel through monumental works, for me to discover it!
Invited by interior designer Christophe Daudré, the two artists beautifully adorned the hotel’s lobby and bar with their wall design.
It was also an opportunity for me to discover the establishment’s magnificent inner terrace, a little green haven of peace in the middle of the Les Halles concrete, you would almost think it was a mirage…

The Moët Ice Imperial lounge at Maison Blanche
Moët Ice Imperial offers iced champagne this summer on the George V terrace of the Maison Blanche restaurant, perched on the rooftops of the Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées.
The spot is ideal for a chic moment while enjoying a magical view of Paris and the Eiffel Tower. On-site, you can taste the Moët Ice Impérial champagne by Moët & Chandon, the first summer champagne, served with ice cubes (no, it’s not a heresy and it’s actually very good!).
As a bonus, the Chef of Maison Blanche, Fabrice Giraud, has designed specific accompaniments in harmony with the Ice Imperial champagne.
Your choice: toasted Poujauran bread and cured Aosta ham, fresh pea velouté, black olive tapenade crusts, or duck foie gras with Espelette pepper jam, raspberry macarons, and daily verrines for a sweet note.
Maison Blanche 15, avenue Montaigne 75008 Paris Daily from 6:00 PM until the end of summer

The Café sur l’herbe by Pepsi
The Pepsi brand has installed a pop-up café on the forecourt of the Gare de Lyon. It will be open from June 27th to September 15th.
So, if you have a little time to kill before catching your train or if you are a bit hungry and want to sit in the sun, you know what you need to do…
