It was while discovering and testing bars for my article on cocktail bars that I realized I needed to create a separate article for hotel bars, as they truly form a distinct yet highly interesting category within this same subject. After two posts (here and there) on this theme, this is a new selection of cozy and hushed venues that I have gathered here for you. This is partly due to the unique atmosphere exuded by Parisian hotels, and also because I particularly appreciate subdued settings when enjoying a triple S drink (insiders will understand), especially if I am in good company…

Mélia Paris La Défense Hotel: Skyline Bar
There are some addresses I am always proud to unearth and then share with you right here. That is exactly the feeling I had the first time I visited the Mélia La Défense hotel, and even more so when I discovered its magnificent bar, nestled on the 19th floor of this tower in rooftop mode, featuring a breathtaking view of Paris and the La Défense district. The Melià Paris hotel is truly an urban utopia brought to life. Fifteen years of studies and construction were necessary for its building, designed by the radical architect Claude Vasconi, to see the light of day. Animated twice a week by live music concerts and DJ sets, it offers a very fine selection of tapas and cocktails.
