Since my trip to Rome and the gastronomic happiness it brought, I admit I was wary of eating at an Italian restaurant in Paris. I was afraid of being disappointed, certainly, afraid that the dishes wouldn’t stand up to the delights enjoyed in Italy… in short, I had some apprehensions…
How happy I was, therefore, to find products and dishes as good as in Rome after the invitation to discover a small restaurant in the 17th arrondissement, La Rosa. Indeed, the restaurant’s name is explained by the 2 red roses painted on the door frame, which welcome you upon your arrival at La Rosa.
As for the service, it is impeccable and very warm, with a little Italian accent that immediately sets the mood. The Italian atmosphere with the soft lighting and warm colors of this Tuscan bistro and its chef Emiliano give a distinct character and authenticity to La Rosa.

For antipasti, you can dive into the melt-in-the-mouth mozzarella from the Puglia region, or the succulent eggplant mille-feuille, a real delight!
For pasta, I can say without blinking that I found the perfectly al dente cooking of those devoured in Italy. Those served at La Rosa come from the best Italian artisans in Paris, and all the sauces that accompany them are homemade by Emiliano!
Special mention for the desserts, with a tiramisu that is to die for (it’s personally one of my favorite desserts), but also a panna cotta that enthusiasts must absolutely try.
In short, an excellent family-style trattoria address; from my point of view (and based on my own experience, of course), the best I know in Paris.
La Rosa 23 Rue Guillaume Tell, 75017 Paris Lunch menu: appetizer/main or main/dessert €18.00 and appetizer/main/dessert €19.50 Evening à la carte: dishes between €12.00 and €25.00
